Prestigio Tablet

Hy!

I'm buying today a Prestigio MultiPad 7 (PMP3370B) model tablet.
It's a low budget, probably slightly bad tablet, but it's for the price
of an e-book reader - what I was hunting originally, so why not WiFi,
multitouch, apps, and the rests of a tablets benefits?

Will plasma-active be installable on this tablet? I use KDE on my other
PC-s and let me send my compliments for the KDE-Plasma team, and
everybody related! Grate job!

Some specs, to spare some time for you guys:

CPU: ARM Cortex A8 (Rockchip 2918) 1 GHz
RAM: 512 MB

Probably not out of the box. As it stands with ARM hardware, you need a
special image for every device. This means the kernel needs to be built for
this device, and the boot process set up. The Mer OS makes that fairly easy to
do, but it still needs to be done.

If you're looking for a ready-made image which you can slap onto the tablet,
that's probably not available. If you're looking into doing the hardware
adaption part yourself, that should be entirely possible with Plasma Active
and Mer, given that you have kernel sources and the device's bootloader is not
locked down.
